About this app

Choose the browser that prioritizes people over profits.

When you choose Firefox, you protect your data while supporting the non-profit Mozilla Foundation, whose mission is to build a better internet that's safe and accessible for everyone.

Firefox is extremely private for a reason — and the reason is you.

We want you to have an amazing experience every time you use Firefox. We know feeling safe and secure is foundational for enjoying your time online. Since version 1 in 2004, we’ve taken privacy seriously because we’ve always valued people first over everything. When you care more about people than you do about profits, privacy naturally becomes a top priority.

DIFFERENT DEVICES. SAME TRAIN OF THOUGHT.
Now, you can search for things on your laptop and pick up the exact same search on your phone, and vice versa. Your Firefox homepage displays your most recent searches on your other devices, so you can easily get back to what you were doing or thinking about.

LIMITED EDITION WALLPAPERS
Introducing limited-edition wallpapers from independent creators. Stick with one you love or switch it up anytime to make your Firefox match your mood.

STREAMLINED HOME SCREEN
Pick up right where you left off. See all your open tabs intuitively grouped and displayed along with your recent bookmarks, top sites and popular articles recommended by Pocket.

GET FIREFOX ON ALL YOUR DEVICES
Add Firefox across your devices for secure, seamless browsing. In addition to synced tabs and searches, Firefox also makes password management easy by remembering your passwords across devices.

PRIVACY CONTROL IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES
Firefox automatically blocks various trackers and scripts by default, including social media trackers, cross-site cookie trackers, cryptominers, and fingerprinters. In addition, when you set Firefox's Enhanced Tracking Protection to "Strict," it blocks tracking content in all windows. You can also easily search in private browse mode, which automatically deletes your search and browsing history when you close all private windows.

FIND IT FAST WITH FIREFOX’S SEARCH BAR
Get search suggestions in the search bar and quickly access the sites you visit most. Type in your search question and get suggested and previously searched results across your favourite search engines.

GET ADD-ONS
Full support for the most popular add-ons, including ways to turbo-charge powerful default privacy settings and customise your experience.

ORGANISE YOUR TABS THE WAY YOU LIKE
Create as many tabs as you like without losing track. Firefox displays your open tabs as thumbnails and numbered tabs, making it easy to find what you want quickly.

This is the only mobile browser to support some of the most-used plugins, but what it desperately needs is bookmark reorganization without needing to sync to other devices. I don't want the same bookmarks on my phone as my PC. I also find that, on rare occasions, during updates, my bookmarks will get scrambled into a random order. It's concerning that none of this was addressed and that a feedback link I was given as a response to my review here was one that doesn't work.

I switched from Opera to Firefox to get away from annoying pop-ups advertising built-in AI slop. Firefox has been fine in this regard for a couple of months, but today it asked me for a Google Play review with a popup over a new tab. Not cool. One time is already too many, but if it happens again, I might switch browsers.

Recent patch major flaws: 1) I can't open the gear on YouTube videos (quality, speed, etc. settings). Pressing the gear on a YT video puts a low opacity black cover over the whole app window and changes the URL to end in "#bottom-sheet". Please fix ASAP, my productivity is plummeting since I can't 2x speed everything. 2) Opening YT videos / any reddit post causes a pop-up to lock your screen until you close it. The pop-up says "would you like to open in app?". This doesn't happen in Chrome.
