About this game

A strategic driving game from the award-winning maker’s of Smash Hit. Does not Commute is a temporal paradox in which you have no one to blame but yourself. What starts out as a relaxing commute in a small town of the 1970's quickly devolves into traffic chaos with hot dog trucks, sports cars, school buses and dozens of other vehicles. You drive them all. Plan ahead. Don't be late.

In this small town, discover the characters and their secrets – what world-changing experiment is inventive dentist Dr Charles Schneider hiding? Will Mr Baker quit his job in advertising? What is that strange mask on Mrs Griffin's face? Will Mr Mayfield’s peculiar obsession with Yorkshire Terriers take over his life?

Does Not Commute is playable at no cost and free from ads. An optional premium upgrade is available through a one-time in-app purchase that will enable the ability to continue from checkpoints.

I found this game over 7 years ago, and was hooked the first time I played. I install it every time I get a new phone, but never got premium until a few months ago. Let me say this: I have never been bothered by a single ad ever. Having to start over would get frustrating at times, but I continued playing. I finally paid in order to save my progress, and wouldn't you know...? NO ADS EVER!!! I love this game and have zero complaints. Thank you Mediocre, love smashit too!

Again when it comes to Mediocre their games are very good. I do think this is their most difficult game. Though I do need to play more Mayhem mode of Smash Hit. Either way there is only one issue with this game in my opinion. The text isn't there long enough and I'm dyslexic. There was an option to see the text for longer.

This game is so cool. The retro design, the music, the odd little bios of the drivers in this odd little town. Yes, the cars are difficult to control. That's the point. Something is Twilight-Zone wrong. Plus it makes it funny. If I make it through the next checkpoint, I'm buying it. Well done, developers! EDIT: bought it; LUVVIT.
