MUBI: Curated Cinema

A lot of cannes film festival type movies but a lot of obscure stuff for better or worse. Problem is they don't have their own content first! Yes you read that correctly. The substance is a MUBI original so they should have it first right? Wrong and I had to watch it somewhere else at the time. Overall there isn't much "charm" in terms of selection and availability. I'm also not seeing features like HDR and 4k for a lot of content.

Disappointing when I realized all the films I added on the website weren't actually available. I saw the response saying that they keep a database on their site for reviews but it doesn't make it better when you log in for the first time and their clunky search function make you think the selection is the most amazing you have ever seen and make a huge watchlist only to realize you shouldn't hit browse like you do on every other streaming site. I would say user error but I'm not the only one.

Since this rating is for the app functionality and not the service itself (which is superb), I have to take off one star because I continuously get the same issue: after finishing the movie (all the way to the end), it keeps on staying in "continue watching" tab. There are movies I finished weeks ago and they still populating the said tab. Can this glitch be resolved? Also, a dark mode option would be nice. The whiteness in the app is blinding.
