Had a horrible set up experience. I put the phone aside after logging in and came back to the app asking for PIN when I never made one. I couldn't even set one up on the desktop website or find any real help from Shopify. I had to uninstall and reinstall to immediately make a PIN on the app before it locked me out again. Terrible UI, numeric keyboard stays on the screen and covers up half the screen. No real way to close it without just closing the app entirely. Extremely limited features.

Hi Trick, thanks for sharing this feedback. While you can view or change your PIN from the admin (go to Settings > Users, click your name, ... > View store), it sounds like you may be experiencing issues with the POS app. To report issues, please go to ≡ More > Support > Report a bug to submit a report for investigation - Caroline, Shopify Support

This is a warning for those doing the SETUP. I have the Tap & Chip. I tried to set up the app, and there is a step to do a test card transaction. Well, this will NOT be a test, but rather a REAL transaction. I refunded myself the $1.00 and canceled the transaction, but I am now being charged .13 cents processing fee AND the step to complete the setup is STILL not done. I am in contact with support. Support first stated you have to put Shopify in test mode. Now they are saying, if you put it in..

Hi Carol Ann, thanks for sharing this feedback with us. Test transactions processed during card reader setup should just be tests and show up in the admin marked as such. Nice app with potential...and I'm saying this after using the app for several years. I wouldn't have to say that if it weren't for recent updates. Like the one with the customer choosing their receipt type. My register is not set up in a way that allows that, so now it just slows me down. Please make it so I can toggle that option on or off. I'm already tired to having to keep pressing extra buttons just to tender a sale. Also, sometimes a CASH transaction will say PAYMENT DECLINED.
