2025 Update: Still can't cast from YouTube Music app, still can't like/dislike songs, still terrible. 2024 Update: App is still garbage. Initial Review: Can't cast music from Android device. Can't thumbs up/down songs when playing YouTube Music on the app, and can't cast to Sonos from YouTube Music app, so users are forced to use this horrific app where they can't customize favorite songs / songs they hate. App is a slow, cluttered, unintuitive mess.

The inconsistency using this app is infuriating. We have two (older, but still perfectly functional) speakers that won't work with the newer app. With no rhyme or reason, the app won't see/recognize either speaker, or it might see one but not the other. On rare days, it sees both and I can group them. We have them in locations that make it hard to reach them on a daily basis (i.e. on high shelves that I can't reach with a step stool), so resetting is a pain, and often doesn't solve the problem.

I hate Sonos and resent investing in 6 speakers since 2014 when the app was glitchy but I assumed it would improve. Nope, not even close, it's just got worse. Main speaker is hardwired into the fibre modem yet still drops out regularly (others on WiFi continue). Speakers fail and stop playing on a regular basis; speakers regularly disappear from the app; a couple of times a week the app will tell me I have no speakers at all; Alexa functionality hasn't worked for almost a year. The list goes on.
