The jury is still partly out on the Nighthawk app. But my initial review isn't good. I just finished setting up a mesh system, and the app has been buggy and fiddly as hell. Several times it told me the router wasn't compatible with the app. If you take more than 60 seconds on a task, a contact support pop-up appears. God forbid you have any other apps open or attempt to switch between them. At the moment, I hope I don't have to use this app often.

Update : The app is still giving me trouble periodically. I find that it will log me out them I'll have trouble logging back in. It would be nice if the app was more user friendly and useful. —------------------ I've noticed that with each new update the app seems to be getting worse. I have notifications that it can't connect to my routers. I don't know why it's so heavily suggested if it's not user friendly or stable at times. I love NETGEAR routers but I strongly dislike the app.

I rely on this app, but I hate it and am rating low until it becomes more stable. I've subscribed to the Nighthawk Parental Controls for 2 years and am considering another renewal, but the app crashes every single time I go to the Parental Controls section. Clearing cache & data doesn't help. Reinstalling the app does help temporarily, but the app will crash as soon as I try to use any Parental Control features, which I'm paying for. I shouldn't have to reinstall the app every day.

This latest release fixes various issues and adds new enhancements. Also, make sure you update your router to the latest firmware version using the app in order to explore all the great features it has to offer.
