The app allows for more fine-tuning than the remote control does for my LED lights. It's very helpful and easy to use. Mitch, it sounds like you have a problem with your LIGHTS. This app works just fine for mine (I'm not bragging) - my point is that there's probably a more appropriate channel to contact support for your hardware, than on the review page for a smartphone app.

Was working fine for about 6 months. Connection now connects and then disconnects constantly. I'm within 5 feet of the unit. Unplugged and replugged the unit and even tried a different phone since it's a Bluetooth connection. Switching out for a 4 pin wifi connector since those will work better than Bluetooth.

LED light strip came with bed frame from Amazon and it's better operated through the provided remote. I only downloaded the app thinking the music function would make the lights ambient to the music but it's just a seizure inducing flashing between all the colors. Just another app to download not worth it
