A perfect transition of an older game onto newer tech. Very nostalgic to play, and the dlc is worth the money to add fresh content to a memorable game. A bonus to it being an older game is that there are plenty of guides and forums available if you get stuck or need help strategizing. Love the wealth of achievements - they give you something work towards if you have to grind, and add to replayability. By far, my favorite turn-based rpg and the bar by which I judge other, similar games.

I wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone getting into game design. EBF5 is an absolute masterclass in combat design, and serves as a sterling example for how enemies should be designed in a JRPG. And I don't say this often, but I recommend buying everything on offer here except the XP/AP booster. The amount of new content you get out of it is like a whole extra game by itself, and on top of that, it adds crazy replayability.

I really love this game! In my opinion it's well developed. I just started playing it about 4 days ago so the kinks and bugs are probably all fixed so I got the best version of it. But I really enjoy the game play, I like the fact that you can see the enemies before you engage with them which allows you to strategize, I like how you can scan an enemy and retreat successfully to strategize, I like how You can capture monsters And I really love some of the fourth wall breaking humor.
