1 Many (but not all) employers, government benefits providers, and other originators send direct deposits early with an effective date of 1-4 days later. Beginning with your second direct deposit of at least $5 from the same source, the Central Bank of Kansas City (CBKC) will post the funds to your Payactiv Visa Prepaid Card when we receive it, rather than on the effective date. This may result in your having access to the funds sooner. The date CBKC receives your direct deposit and the effective date are controlled by the originator.

I am unable to add funds to my account from an external account. The button is locked, and when I reach out to customer service, they have no idea what I'm talking about. The only way to add money now is to pay a fee at one of the stores that will load funds. Edit 03/01/2024 they now removed the option to add funds, but that was why I opened the account. It's been 4 months since they removed it, and no updates have fixed it. Edit 10/11/2024 they added the button back, but it's unusable.

Constantly has issues loading, always tells me "Oops! Cant find our companies!" but if you click try again the button just disappears and nothing happens. I have to close, reopen, and log back in to the app 3-4 times to get it to work every single time I use it. It will also tell me to try the app even when I'm using it...? After the 4th restart and login it does work fine, but your app doing what it's intended to do is the absolute bare minimum. And it hardly even does that. Payactiv sucks.

I'm starting to think they perform account updates entirely manually. After using the service about 8 times, the app does not reflect payments made at all and won't clear them unless you contact them and email them a paystub (even if they were paid). the support staff also cannot tell accurately what was actually paid. This is very strange and frustrating. (I'm an app developer BTW.) I use many financial applications but this is the first I've used that really needs a systemic overhaul.
