for the app it improve little since the recent refinement. Yet it is not refined enough to make a really great sounding soundbar 1000. As to talk about the 1000. It has some issues. The EQ lacks control when the many adjustments are changed whenever a subwoofer volume adjustment is done. Basically, true fine tuning is not available using the app or the remote unit. Real close but yet a real miss. Personally, I think a separate gain control on the sub would make a world of different.

Love having more customization with eq and seeing the rear speaker battery precentage. I would love if it could be taken a step further where we could adjust specific channel volumes. Being able to adjust the volume specifically of the woofers, subwoofers, voice channel, front side channels, etc. would go a long way. Would also love to have a menu with different sound modes, such as being able to turn on/off pure voice, dts neural x, smartmode etc. instead of memorizing codes.

OK there's really nothing wrong with the overall app. I'm so sick of JBL requiring 50 different apps for every new generation or different product version. I have a charge 3 now a 5, Boombox 2 and a party box. Damn near every one won't link and need a totally different app to run them. Now that's frustrating!
