I love this app! Since I've taken up school, i haven't had time to play often, so I've been playing on my breaks at work using my T-MOBILE 5g unlimited cell data. I play on a Galaxy S24 while pairing my PS5 controller and some Sony bluetooth headphones. I was amazed at how functional it was! There is a split second controller lag, which is to be expected. So, I would recommend sticking to single-player games. I am looking forward to getting a Backbone controller for my phone. 5/5

Since the update, it seems like the connection to my PS5 has improved. There are still some slight framerate drops and connection slowdowns, but overall, not terrible. However, the touch pad refuses to work, either on my DualSense controller or on the app's own virtual controller, which makes no sense to me and locks me out of vital functions of some games. This definitely needs some fixing up.

Once upon a time, the PS5 Remote Play app was just passable—clunky but serviceable. It wasn’t a groundbreaking experience, but at least it did what it claimed to do: stream your PS5 games remotely with a tolerable amount of hiccups. However, after the latest update, this app has devolved into a complete and utter joke. No matter where I am or how strong my connection is—whether on a 5G network or hardwired directly via Ethernet—the app refuses to connect. "Remote," sure... 🙄
