Same as some other reviewers, the lack of persistent notification showing status is a major deficiency. Especially having no notification of inability to connect, confirmation of successful connection, and clear notification of disconnection leaves you guessing. Opening the app & trying to decipher recent log entries to determine connection status is not acceptable. Two stars at best, largely because it offers no peace of mind that the VPN is connected & working at any given moment.

This app could provide more feedback to the user when a connection is toggled. I expect technical info to be available, but one should at least be able to see some simple details. Also, some errors are too vague to do anything with. I have a Unifi wireguard file I attempted to import that just says Invalid name... What does that mean? Oh, a reddit post from 4 years ago says the file name is too long! Why???

WireGuard on Android Tip: Avoid setting the MTU to the recommended 1420 manually — it can slow down your connection. Instead, leave it set to Auto. In my case, using 1420 caused noticeable performance drops, and switching to Auto resolved the issue. another thing, for some strange reason notifications are blocked on my s23u. I can't unblock them either.
