Great app for identifying birds, but there is one really annoying bug preventing it from being 5 stars. When selecting a range of the spectrum to play back or analyze, the audio doesn't line up, it's shifted a second or two after the selection and gets worse the further it is to the left. It usually takes multiple tries to get an accurate selection. This wasn't a problem a few years ago, though it could be because I had a different phone (Moto X4). Would also love the app to be open source.

I love this app! I only gave it 4 stars because there are a few things they could do to make it more user friendly; like being able to go back to listen to you're recording, or even better, being able to mark a spot while recording, so you can go back to it after you're done recording. As it is now, you have to stop your recording to analyze a section, and when a lot of birds are singing/calling, it often leads to missing some birds.

I'm into birdwatching, especially at home, but never know what type of bird I'm seeing/hearing. This app is the BOMB and SO easy to use! Upon hearing a bird call, just open the app and it will automatically record it. Stop recording after a few seconds, and it instantly lets you know what type of bird it is. Click on the birds name and it takes you to a page that explains everything about the bird, including more of their bird songs and calls that you can listen to. Love it!
